The consolidation process of the Media Regionalne Group was completed in September 2008. The Group consists of 11 regional newspapers of a total sales of over 300,000 copies, four local radio stations, six printing houses, an advertising agency and eleven free weekly magazines. Media Regionalne is part of the Mecom Europe Group – one of the largest publishers and media businesses in Europe. Mecom is also the majority shareholder of Presspublica – the publisher of the Polish daily newspapers „Rzeczpospolita”, „Parkiet” and „Życie Warszawy”. CET, in cooperation with the management of the Media Regionalne Capital Group, developed a plan preparing for the implementation of a comprehensive program of the operational consolidation of nine companies of the Media Regionalne CG into one business entity. The scope of work included preparing a description of business processes and their optimization, designing an organizational structure at the headquarter and regional levels and developing procedures and regulations indispensable for the effective implementation of corporate changes. The conducted works also involved providing support in the process of communicating the planned changes to the company staff and other parties involved in the undertaking which is a crucial element within these types of projects.
