Antoni Rakowski, President of Central Europe Trust Polska, estimates that the merger and and acquisition market (M&A) will increase in H1 2010. According to him, the number of M&A transactions in the medium-sized companies sector (worth PLN 10-50 million, excluding privatizations) in Poland may soar 20-30 percent up to 650 in 2010. Poland will be the first market to ‘accelerate’ mainly due to resistance of the Polish economy to the crisis.
